P20+S / 1.2312 Special Tool Steel Plate & Block For Plastic Mould
Production Introduction
P20+S tool steel is a plastic mold steel firstly produced by German brand Buderus, this steel with uniform hardness, good polishing performance, good machinability, pre-hardened, can be processed directly.
The machinability is increased compared to P20, and the wear resistance is increased over that of P20.
Annealed Hardness: 290 to 330 HBS
Pre-hardened Hardness: 28-32 HRC

Heat treatment
| Annealing | 1) Heated to720-750°C,Two to four hours heat preservation,

| Pre-hardened | 1) Preheat to 600-650°C
2) Heated to hardening temperature 840-840°C and heat preservation

* P20+S plastic mold steel is a German Gerritz imported conventional melting EF + LF + VD material.
* P20+S suitable for limited polishing, with excellent machinability, general chrome plating and sun protection, good toughness and machinability, not suitable for higher tanning and polishing.
* P20+S plastic mold steel is mainly used in plastic mold, mold, plastic mold and die-casting mold and so on.
P20+S/1.2312 round bar, flat bar, plate and block. As an alloy tool steel grade P20+S/1.2312 is commonly supplied in the hardened and tempered condition with a supply hardness of approximately 300HB.
This steel gives an excellent polished finish and is one of the most widely accepted specifications for machine cut plastic moulds and zinc die casting dies.
This grade gives excellent wear resistance but if maximum surface hardness is required for compression moulding plastic dies or similar tools, the steel can be case hardened or nitrided.
It has excellent hardening depth and good machinability,delivery to pre hardened and tempered condition,sulfur content is higher than 1.2311.Can impose nitriding processing(about 800HV), plating Nickel or chrome.
